OWLS OF NEW ENGLAND
Monday, August 6, 10–11 a.m.
Children Ages 5 and up with Adult Companion
Join naturalist Marcia Wilson and her six visiting owls to learn about New England’s native owl species. Marcia will introduce us to the owls living secretively around us and will teach naturalists’ skills to find owls without disturbing them. A hooting lesson to learn the owls’ calls and tips for
owling on your own will follow. Visiting with Marcia will be a Great Horned Owl, a Barred Owl, two Screech Owls, a tiny Saw-whet Owl, and an endangered Short-eared Owl. Meeting these mysterious residents of New England’s wild
places will be a rare opportunity. As an added attraction, we will have a drawing for an 18” x 24” fine art print of a snowy owl in flight.
Presented by MarciaWilson of Eyes on Owls, Dunstable, MA
